Now that you’ve finished playing Skyrim, you’re looking for some great alternatives to that, after all, we can agree that Skyrim is just epic. Now, in this article I can’t guarantee a game just like Skyrim, but, I’ll discuss a few games that you’d enjoy as much as you enjoyed Skyrim!

So, here are the best games like that you’d totally enjoy! Keep in mind that they won’t exactly be like Skyrim!

1. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

Genre: Action / Adventure, RPG.

Why buy?: This was one of the best games of 2016 and it created a new standard for other such role-playing games. The environment is very detailed, interactions are well-maintained, the combat system is amazing, and the world is big and ready for exploration!

The silver-haired lead, Geralt of Rivia uses his powers to fight evil in this game. You can choose to use swords or magic, to fight all the monsters that are wreak havoc in this world!

The award-winning game is known for its amazing storyline and beautiful and intriguing gameplay. This is a must-have for those who love open-world role-playing games.

2. Diablo III

Genre: Action role-playing, hack, and slash

Why buy?: Diablo III is a game that set a new record for the fastest-selling PC game. It sold over 3.5 million copies its first 24 hours of release!

As a player, you can choose one of six characters that you’d like to play, namely– the Barbarian, the Crusader, the Demon Hunter, the Monk, the Witch Doctor and the Wizard and your main task is to defeat Diablo.

The game actually takes place in a Sanctuary, which is a dark fantasy world featured in the Diablo Series. The events of Diablo 3 take place some twenty years after Diablo II. Characters, Leah and Deckard Cain are seen in the Tristram Cathedral as they investigate ancient scripts about some ominous prophecy.

The game starts as a mysterious comet strikes the Cathedral, which creates a deep crater inside which Deckard Cain disappears.

3. Titan Quest

Why buy?: Do you like Age of Empires!? Well, then you’ll enjoy this one, too!

Titan Quest is basically a role-playing game that is set in Ancient Greece which makes it quite similar to the popular game Age of Empires.

As a player, you’ll have to take control of your avatar and you can choose your gender, name, etc. You can navigate the world is via a bird’s eye view and as the game progresses, you’ll gain experience points when you defeat your enemies and complete quests!

You also get points that you can be used to upgrade avatar and its attributes like its health and energy, intelligence, dexterity, etc.

4. Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor

Genre: Open-World, Action-Adventure, RPG.

Why buy?: You’d love this game of you’re a fan of “The Lord of The Rings”. In fact, the book actually inspired game! It takes place somewhere between The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings.

But if you haven’t seen the movies or read the books yet (living under a rock much!?), you should still totally invest in this game up if you are a lover of open-world action!

In this game, you can actually explore the entire world of Lord of The Rings and fight evil Sauron. You’ll be the ranger who has come back from the dead to avenge his family that was butchered by Sauron and his evil minions.

Speaking about the character progression, it is simply amazing and will allow you to unlock new powers and abilities as the game progresses. As for attacks, you have the option of melee combat, ranged attacks, and stealth based moves!

5. Neverwinter

Genre: MMORPG aka Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game

Why buy?: Do you remember the classic Dungeons & Dragons cartoons? No? Well, there were books and cartoons, too!

Okay, even if you don’t remember these, you’d still enjoy the Neverwinter game! The game takes place in the…drumroll please, Dungeons & Dragons world! In the game, you can choose one of eight different classes and each of these class has different powers and abilities that you can upgrade as your character progresses.

In fact, you can also team up with your friends to raid these dungeons and kill all the monsters!

6. Fallout 4

Genre: Action role-playing

Why buy?: In this game, you are the sole survivor who wakes up from cryogenic sleep in Vault 111, which is basically an underground nuclear fallout bunker.

You feel into the sleep right after you witnessed the murder of your wife and kidnapping of your kid. Your main mission is to look for your missing child in the Commonwealth.

As a player, you have the ability to roam around almost anywhere on the map, and you can also exit a boring conversation at any time. If you’ve found a certain new location you’d like to go to, you can fast-travel to it!

Apart from that, you can customize your weapons and the game actually has over 50 base guns, which you can craft for yourself with modifications, like barrel types, laser focus, and anything of the 700 modifications!
